Most people find it hard to believe that you can still do some exercises when you are in a wheelchair. Being in a wheelchair doesn’t mean that you cant be able to do some exercises there are some exercises that you can do while seated in a wheelchair. We, therefore, have different kinds of exercises that one can do when in a wheelchair. The discussion below is on the seated wheelchair exercises that will help you stay fit.

It is an advantage when you are using a manual wheelchair simply because you will be required to do the wheeling by yourself. When you have a manual wheelchair, it means that you will be using your own arms to move the wheelchair there will be no some sort of electricity that will be moving the wheelchair and by doing this, you will have to do some exercise. An individual that is seated in a manual wheelchair for some exercise, they should always take a walk by themselves and by doing that, they will have exercise.

When you are in a wheelchair, since the upper part is okay you can be able to move on your sides that is right left and even in front. When you are in a wheelchair, it means that you will not be able to stand and by side bending you will not be required to stand you instead do the bendings while seated in a wheelchair. Since you will be bending the upper part only, you will be required to bend on your front, right then left and repeat the same for more time and by doing this, your body will be fit. When you do that continuously, you will have to strengthen the upper part of our body.

Now that you have made the upper part of your body strong, to ensure that there is a good circulation of blood you should now lift your knee. You will not be able to lift your knee unless you control the lower part of your body. Here, when you are seated in your wheelchair, you will be required to lift your one leg for about four minutes and then put their leg down and then lift the other leg for about four minutes and then repeat the same for some more minutes.

In addition, strengthening your arm is also a seated wheelchair exercise that will help you stay fit. When you are seated on a wheelchair, you will be able to move your arms on different sides and by doing that, you will have made them fit. One will be required to take control of the upper part of the body when strengthening their body to ensure that they stay fit now.
